Eleanor Clark Dance Company is absolutely thrilled to share that we have been awarded New Business of the Year at the Sevenoaks Business Awards - an honour that still doesn’t quite feel real.

 

What began as a tiny spark - an idea we barely dared to believe in - has, in just six months, grown into a studio filled with joy, artistry, courage, and community. To be recognised among so many inspiring businesses so early in our journey is both humbling and completely extraordinary.

 

The New Business category celebrated businesses established within the last five years, so to not only be selected as a finalist, but to win the award just six months after opening, is simply unbelievable.

 

The Sevenoaks Business Awards shine a light on the very best of our local community: organisations who bring innovation, excellence, and heart to the area. Standing alongside such remarkable finalists was an honour in itself - so to win this award is truly beyond anything we imagined.

 

For us, this award is so much more than a title.It represents the young dancers we nurture, the families who believe in us, and the vision behind building a school where confidence, creativity, and wellbeing are championed every single day. It is proof that with a little bravery - and a lot of hard work - you really can build something from nothing.

 

To my ECDC families, supporters, and the wider Sevenoaks community: thank you. Your belief in ECDC fuels everything we do, and we are endlessly grateful. And to each and every one of my ECDC students - none of this would be possible without you.

Winning New Business of the Year marks the beginning of a beautiful new chapter - one filled with possibility, growth, and an ever-burning passion for inspiring the next generation of dancers.
